Marketplace for nonprofits to connect with talent.

We are applying for the AI Agent Facilitated Marketplace Challenge. We used Cline.

Allow us to introduce to Janus—an AI-native marketplace that helps nonprofits get real work done with the right skilled volunteers, fast.

Here’s the problem: nonprofits usually come to the table with fuzzy needs. Scoping those into clear projects takes weeks, volunteers churn when expectations aren’t set, and employers struggle to verify hours and impact.

Janus fixes this with three steps: Auto-scope. Auto-match. Auto-verify.

Auto-scope: Nonprofits can describe their pain point in plain language. Our AI instantly turns that into a structured scope of work—deliverables, timeline, skills needed, even acceptance criteria—something they can share with staff or their board in minutes, not weeks.

Auto-match: Volunteers get ranked, explainable matches—“You’re top fit because you’ve done data dashboards for education orgs, you’re available 5–10 hours a week, and you’re in the same time zone.” No more noisy listings.

Auto-verify: Every project runs through our Impact Ledger. Volunteers log time, nonprofits sign off on deliverables, and Janus generates a ready-to-go verification letter for employers. That means CSR and HR teams finally get the proof and reporting they need.

Why does this matter? Compared to generalist pro-bono boards or manual programs, Janus activates projects in minutes instead of weeks, delivers higher match quality, and keeps continuity alive with milestone kits and “Maintainer Mode” to prevent drop-offs.

Our target users are threefold:

Nonprofits that just want their messy needs scoped and matched this month.

Mission-driven professionals who want meaningful, time-bounded projects aligned to their skills.

Employers who need verifiable, reportable impact to meet CSR and DEI goals.

Our business model is straightforward: the core platform is free for nonprofits and volunteers. Employers pay for dashboards, SSO, and impact reporting—starting at $2–4k a year.

In this hackathon demo, you’ll see a messy nonprofit prompt turned into a crisp scope, a volunteer matched with explainability, a milestone completed, and a signed hours letter generated.

Nonprofits don’t need a form—they need a scope. Janus delivers it in minutes, makes matches explainable, and impact verifiable. That’s how we unlock sustainable capacity for the sector.
