Solo project — I built everything.
My responsibilities:
Product/architecture: Role-based schemas (Plumber, Student, General), priority paths, state machine for “next best question.”
UI/UX (Streamlit): Upload vs. From-scratch flows, voice toggle, JSON viewer, preview, DOCX download.
AI logic: Resume extraction + next question via OpenAI; “skip” handling; deterministic fallback.
Voice loop: TTS asks → mic records → ASR transcribes → exact JSON field filled.
Parsing/output: PDF/DOCX ingest (pypdf/PyPDF2), Jinja2 → python-docx.
Sponsor tools & specific APIs:
OpenAI API
Chat Completions: gpt-4o-mini (extraction & Q&A).
Audio Speech (TTS): gpt-4o-mini-tts (speaks questions).
Audio Transcriptions (ASR): gpt-4o-mini-transcribe (answers → text).
Other tech: Streamlit, audio-recorder-streamlit, Jinja2, python-docx, pypdf (+ PyPDF2 fallback).
Deployment: Local or Streamlit Cloud (env/st.secrets for OPENAI_API_KEY).
Roadmap: Add outbound AI phone calls (Twilio/LiveKit) to auto-interview applicants and fill the same JSON (call chunk already built; integration next).
